Education

The City of Navasota provides a variety of educational opportunities for all ages. Navasota Independent School District has multiple campuses around town including Navasota High School, W.B. Bizzell Academy, Navasota Junior High, Brule Elementary, High Point Elementary, and John C. Webb Elementary. The City also offers weekly Adult Education classes and a Workforce Development Center. Navasota is also conveniently located 25 miles from Blinn College and 22 miles from Texas A&M University.

The City is proud to be part of the Navasota Rattlers. Navasota Independent School District serves approximately 2,900 students enrolled across six campuses. Navasota ISD celebrates several accomplishments including:

  • 100% of graduating students in 2018 were accepted to a college/trade school/military
  • Over $800,000 in scholarships awarded to 2017 seniors
  • Over $50,000 raised to support community organizations
  • 16.8:1 student-teacher ratio for grades K-5
  • 17.4:1 student-teacher ratio for grades 6-12
  • Over 35% of teachers have 11 or mores years of experience
  • 100% of students served free breakfast daily
  • 60 college credit hours are earnable by Navasota High Students
  • Offers 5 Career and Technology Endorsement Programs
